Ah, good to...otherwise you might risk delamination

Ah, good to know. I got the board back today and even sailed it. Maxi who works at the Cannery (I believe he also does the custom graphics) did the job and now you can't tell there was any damage. I'm not sure if it actually weighs more - seems as light as ever. They told me that big damage like this takes in less water (assuming you get the board out quickly) because water is not forced into a narrow opening and also drains out easy. I left it in the sun for hours before the repair and it seemed totally dry. Still, best to be safe. Thanks!(Ben) Jamin Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07837329435564826327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690822573598832386.post-57509656556852425512010-05-14T11:04:22.832-10:002010-05-14T11:04:22.832-10:00The board is totally repairable. Not even a difficult fix, since, as you point out, it's on the nose.
Might get a tiny bit of weight.

The main thing is that since you got some H2O in it, from now on you will have to be very careful not to leave it in the heat with the vent on, otherwise you might risk delamination.cammarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08319369737358774800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690822573598832386.post-65627652136553010362010-05-12T11:21:30.344-10:002010-05-12T11:21:30.344-10:00Let me try that again (dang those tag attributes)....Let me try that again (dang those tag attributes). I used to pour hot water down my wet suit before going out, which can really help if you happen to have access to hot water. I was wondering if you'd be interested in a free sample of the product so you could provide some feedback on how it works with high-level windsurfing. If it was snapped in half though you'd be first on my list to give it to. So how about a slightly used North Sail 5.3 for $50 instead. Years ago, as a beginner, I unfortunately had to replace a dudes brand new Shula custom board. I also know of a case where a sailor had significant bodily harm from such a collision and won a large civil suit for damages. Somethings got to discourage such careless sailing, last two years while in Brazil I've had major confrontations after near collisions and magically other euros then give me ROW.... In your situation I think I would settle for board replacementUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09580621752159976975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690822573598832386.post-4014544321464650452010-05-10T01:08:54.937-10:002010-05-10T01:08:54.937-10:00what a bummer!
